iOS5

Posted on 13 September 2011

Apple is known worldwide for its innovation and creativity, and has a legion of followers almost like a religion. 5000 people worldwide were surveyed about Apple’s updates and it turns out that 67% of the population is aware of the upcoming iOS5 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this fall. However, this percentage may rise as the launch of this update approaches.

The improvements everyone seem to be most looking forward, with 58% of the votes, is the Wi-Fi synchronization, enabling its users to wirelessly sync the iOS device with their Mac or PC. The second one, at 52% of the overall votes is the Notification Center to have all of the warnings appear in the same place.

With a new platform inevitably come new features! Half of respondents are most excited about the iTunes Wi-Fi/3G synchronization of purchased songs. This means that users will be able to automatically sync and back up any new content to iTunes anytime they connect their device to a power source. Next, 44% are looking forward to the iCloud Backups and 39% to putting documents in the iCloud, seeing that there is a general tendency towards Wi-Fi and accessibility.

In general, what do you think of the new iOS5 upgrade?
